what if good was bad and bad was good?

I don’t know how hypothetical this statement can be considering the cases already existing:

People may deny bribes out in open but they prefer it when they want to get preference, when they want to avoid long wait around court, or decisions. Handing over Rs 500 note to traffic cop is more convenient than getting the vehicle confiscated and paying the due in the police station, at some unknown corner of the city.

Let’s say, the thing we call “corruption” is good. Normal citizens being harassed by the government for extra earning is acceptable , as it is its been happening even after so much condemnation. In this case, it’ll face less agitation. People accept it out in open.

No matter how much sex is condemned, the cinema’s does extremely good at box office with skin show and PDA onscreen as topping to good storyline. The number of times a music video is watched is inversely proportional to the amount of clothes on item girl. Let’s say, wearing ultra-miniskirts is good, sluts are most honored creatures and most honored pundit’s ‘ the most disgraced. Say, PDA, sex act everything is accepted without any clauses. Vulgar talks are accepted as normal.

I know, there will be questions on the rise of rape cases, women losing their ‘dignity’ or getting more freedom than required, men getting uncontrollable, the whole society getting berserk without any control on lust and urges. Any case , rape cases have risen, women are tasting their freedom, breaking the shackles, men are getting uncontrollable and society is getting berserk even with all the ‘graceful’ rules and customs of society . As of the rape cases ,it must get accepted. Woman will take responsibility for their self -defense , taking major precautions on how to handle situations themselves. There will be questions on increase in child and woman trafficking, being unacceptable. Lets make it acceptable, every child will know, there is extreme potential of him/her being kidnapped and exploited, every woman in abject poverty will have it in mind that she could be sold off and exploited in any manner. THE POINT IS THEY WILL KNOW THIS COULD HAPPEN, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE PERSON SEEMS WHOM THEY PLACE THEIR TRUST WITH!

Next social disgrace is violence. Let’s say, killing people, beating them, theft and crimes were socially acceptable! Rob the house with more gold! Kill the men who differs from me, kill the rascal who threatens my existence! All acceptable! Even if it’s not accepted, we know the number of crime rates are already high ! But in this case No one blames cops, society saviors, and general men for being robbed, murdered, killed etc etc.

I don’t know why god forbid Adam and eve from tasting the fruit of just 1 tree in the whole garden? What if he had never cautioned them so obviously and pointed that very tree! Wat if the command would be – “ONE OF THE TREES in the garden is tree of curse. Eating its fruit will get u kicked out of my garden with severe punishment, beware, don’t trust anyone but your instincts and experience , i have given you mind, use them! “ Wouldn’t Things be different then? Along with using their brains ,passing good time with the puzzle in garden making them exploring it well, they would be constructively surviving . Maybe now Satan would be creating fear instead of temptation in eve’s mind: P Anycase , they fell but this time they would have tried their best .

What if looking honorable was bad, a big taboo! Being mad, greedy, angry, lustful, violent , dirty was accepted as good! Let one be as cunning as possible and he be taken in high regards! As it is, we do that in dark. Condemn the cunning in public but try to imitate them if situation is preferable.

Save the children from marks, let them fail. Give them permission to fail in exam and be proud of them when they obey you. Tell them they are permitted to experiment with their lives, experiment with drugs, sex, and whatever they want to do TO BE HAPPY. Give them responsibility to manage their own lives, don’t fund them. (I know its horrible, but since we are turning things around) DON’T FUND THEM IF YOU DON’T WANT TO , FOR THEIR ENTERTAINMENT. But allow them to go and explore the world, however they want to explore.

As it is children are doing it, as it is drugs are being taken, as it is minors are getting pregnant, as it is depression rates are high, so accept the most rowdy child. The more unruly they are , the more they are accepted.

Lets disgrace name , fame, class and status. The more you have them the more disgraced you are. Leave the society free to be what it has been in the dark.

Lets tell the emperor on his face, that he is naked.................

Struggling for freedom in India is a very hypocritic process. You try to build dignity for yourself in the eyes of the very same people whose rules of dignity you want to break. At each step there seems to be so many notions of how people should be, that the main element of development called self-introspection becomes a hideous process , due to the inability to discern if one has face clean enough to face or not. And we all know how difficult it is to accept ourselves in the eyes of our own self guilt and guilt of not fitting into the ‘honor list’ of the society.

No, I wouldn’t agree that what society thinks of us is none of our concern. It is a concern because it is in a community that human has to survive. What rules and regulations are formed in the society, the taboos related to it, the mannerisms of the crowd is all important to understand and accept ; not just to fit in, but also to bring some valid changes to be brought within the structure. Rebelliousness is sure fun, but most of the time it further stiffens the very system it is revolting against.

I am glad to be born into the era where people are taking up courage to bring significant changes into their society; be it in middle-east struggle or our own country struggle against corruption, liberty to express oneself and rebelliousness against the taboos of the past related to relationships, lifestyle ,sex and faith.

Somewhere people organize slut walk campaign with slogans “ teach them not to rape us, don’t teach us what clothes to wear” and somewhere people called moral police ,protector of Hinduism and nation burn shops selling cards of love, beat couples walking hand in hand and gets violent when people succumb to romance on valentine’s day. Times are changing, x –gen who understand that moving ahead with the time is wisdom are struggling to find acceptance from the youngistan while intending to preserve the social dignity codes they are following, while youngistan is trying to feel independent by trying to prove x-gen their existence by breaking the rules of existence that had been so lovingly preserved in the name of honor.

I am glad, people are taking drugs, having sex, wearing clothes they want to wear, eating what they want, living as they want to live. I am glad I am born in kaliyug – the dark time, amidst the crimes at peak , and amidst the time when humans are getting bold enough to experiment and fail rather than preserving outdated customs and failing. I want us to fall down, get injured and learn the better way to live rather than take the safer way of living as dictated .

Lets not deny our greed, lets not deny our lust, ego, arrogance, insecurities, lets see them on our face. Lets have courage to accept the things we have named ‘ vices’ , why shun them, they have been existing since we existed, so instead of forming chains over them, killing ourselves over avoiding them, lets accept them in our lives and begin something new.

After all light exists in dark , and when nature accepts both, who are we to avoid it?
